Various layers make up the soft yellow tones of this tart. The sun-kissed tart base is made of crunchy almonds. It holds a layer of top-class French almond cream (it's like a dense sponge cake), a premium Kochi Yuzu curd, a light and fluffy joconde sponge (almond sponge), and an incredibly flavourful Kochi yuzu mango Curd. This curd has got bits of premium imported mangoes to balance out the tangy taste of the yuzu. For a graceful finish, a soft and delicious mascarpone chantilly cream beautifully rounds the cake while lime zest is sprinkled onto the tart for some fragrance. Every bite presents you with a deliciously exciting blend of flavours and textures that feels good in the mouth.
Kochi Yuzu is very acidic, but has a very refreshing aroma. The sourness of Yuzu is similar to that of lemon, but the strong refreshing scent of Yuzu is distinct and irreplaceable. Our Kochi Yuzu Mango Tart splendidly balances out the acidity of the Yuzu with the sweetness of the mango and French almond cream. If you've never eaten Yuzu before, now's a perfect time! It's refreshing, and super delicious!
There really isn't any rule to our mango tart. You can enjoy it whenever you want, wherever you are. It's perfect as a midnight snack; it's great for tea time or brunch; it makes a beautiful anniversary gift. It also makes a wonderful birthday cake! (I guess in this case, a birthday tart?).
